HELI’S
We have several different Large rigs each equipped with high speed filming gimbals. They are ideal for filming high speed tracking shots, but are also capable of getting up close. The footage is very similar to that of a large helicopter, but our rigs can get into the “Advantage Zone”, or the space where a full size heli is not capable of getting into. All of our copters have been built by us from the ground up. They have many unique parts that we have had custom machined specifically for our rigs. In addition to our single blade copters we also have octacopters, which are very versatile and are great for precise indoor and outdoor filming.
Single Rotor Chopper
Pictured is one of our larger Single Rotor Choppers. This one is a Gaui X7 700 with a custom pan and tilt camera gimbal mount. We also use a 700 size craft which can lift larger cameras. The bigger crafts can handle wind a bit better as well as get more precise shots. The camera transmits a live feed to the gimbal operators monitoring station. This allows the gimbal operator to adjust the shot or track a moving subject.

Multi Rotor Chopper
We operate a Cinestar 8 octacopter that is capable of lifting much heavier cameras such as the Red Epic and Scarlett. Stay tuned for more information on our new Cinestar!

We also have the Flamewheel 550 for most professional filming jobs on a budget because of its superior power which enables it to lift smaller DSLR and most ILC cameras. These devices are also very valuable because of their low noise. They can fly overhead of a television show or movie set without interfering with the sound.

The RaptorCam has the ability to shoot in high winds with the help of its complex gyro setup to maintain that steady shot! Want that shot live? You got it! we can stream all are shots live to our website, even from the cable cam!
The RaptorCam systems employ a DC motor to “drive” down the cable. They are able to drive up a slope of 35 degrees at maximum weight. Power is provided by an on-board lithium polymer battery pack. It is possible to reach speeds of up to 40mph (65kph) on an unsloped cable.
Braking is done electrically and is known as a Hysteresis brake. Braking is also regenerative which means you’re putting power back into the battery when you apply the brakes. Much like newer electric automobiles now do.
The RaptorCam can accommodate a Canon 5D/7D, Nikon D4, Canon C300, Sony FS100, FS700, Red Epic or similar in size cameras. The camera gimbal has 3 axis motion. (Pan, Tilt, Roll). The system is controlled via RC airplane/helicopter type wireless 2.4ghz controllers. One controller is used by a trolley drive operator and one controller is used by the camera operator.
