Someone dies “Every 15 Minutes” from a traffic collision while driving impaired or texting …
Thanks to the Barton Memorial Hospital Emergency Department staff for helping South Tahoe High School and the California Highway Patrol re-create an admittance of two patients involved in a “staged” car accident. This is just one scene from the accident that was taped by Tahoe Production House and played at Friday’s assembly at South Tahoe High.

This impactful video was created to educate teens on driving while impaired and how it could change everyone’s lives forever. From the accident to the “time of death” at the hospital to the funeral to the court scene, this reenactment reminds us all of how precious life is. Again, thank you to our ED staff for your time and efforts, as we bring awareness of impaired driving to our local teens and families.
