Google+ Will Matter in the Social Scene.
Although many marketers see Google Plus as an afterthought in their social media planning, Google Plus is the 2nd largest social network in the world. Goggle is reporting 300 million visitors to Google Plus every month….
As Google has continued to merge most of its core products around the establishment of a company’s or individual’s Google Plus account, it certainly is hard to escape. Business Local Places accounts are linked directly to a Google Plus page, our Gmail accounts are directly linked to our Google Plus accounts (and so on and so on.) For the past couple of years many small business marketers have chosen to ignore the elephant in the room. Social Media experts argue it is foolish to ignore this network moving forward.

Twitter was the originator of the hashtag (#) in social marketing, and then with the launch of Instagram, users sharing their photos began hashtaging everything to extend the reach of their photo posts. Then, in June of 2013, Facebook brought Twitter’s hashtags to the masses turning #preceded words into clickable hyperlinks to reveal related mentions by friends, brands, and people who post publicly. Users on Facebook can also search for hashtags to bring up a stream of mentions across the social network.
