As a creative agency, one of the most exciting projects you can work on is creating a speaker reel for someone like Alexis Robin. Alexis is a dynamic leader and speaker, and being able to capture her on video and edit together a promotional reel can really help her elevate her brand.
Recently, we had the opportunity to capture video assets of Alexis Robin on location at the Edgewood Tahoe resort, during an event produced by Tahoe Chamber, Women in Leadership. The event was held against the beautiful backdrop of Lake Tahoe, which provided a stunning visual setting for our video shoot.
When capturing video assets for a speaker reel, it’s essential to have a plan in place. Before the event, we worked closely with Alexis to discuss her goals for the reel and determine which moments of her talk would be most impactful for her audience. We also discussed the key points she wanted to highlight in her presentation, so we could capture footage that would support those points.
On the day of the event, we arrived early to set up my camera equipment and scout the location for the best angles and lighting. Once Alexis took the stage, we were able to capture multiple camera angles of her presentation, as well as audience reactions and interactions. We also made sure to capture B-roll footage of Alexis around the venue, engaging with attendees and networking, along with a few testimonials from event attendees who experienced Alexis speaking.
After the event, we spent time reviewing all the footage we had captured, selecting the best moments and editing them together into a cohesive speaker reel that showcased Alexis’s strengths as a leader and speaker. We worked closely with her and her team to fine-tune the edit, adding music and graphics to make the reel visually appealing and engaging.

Overall, capturing video assets for Alexis Robbin at the Edgewood Tahoe resort was a wonderful experience. The stunning backdrop of Lake Tahoe made for a visually stunning setting, and the Tahoe Chamber Women in Leadership event provided the perfect opportunity to capture Alexis at her best. We are excited to see how the promotional reel we created will help Alexis elevate her personal brand and reach even more people with her message.
