Tahoe Production House is proud to have contributed to the community’s understanding and engagement regarding local issues by producing the live stream and recording of the “No on Measure N – Stop the South Tahoe Vacancy Tax” townhall meeting. The event, which took place on July 17, 2024, at the South Tahoe Association of REALTORS® offices, was a crucial platform for local leaders to discuss the implications of the proposed vacancy tax with the community.
The townhall meeting featured prominent community leaders, including Steve Teshara from the Tahoe Chamber, Sharon Kerrigan from the South Tahoe Association of REALTORS®, Duane Wallace from the South Tahoe Chamber, and Jerry Bindel from the South Tahoe Lodging Association. These leaders came together to articulate their concerns about Measure N, which they argue would impose unnecessary administrative burdens on the city and infringe upon property rights and privacy.
Understanding the importance of reaching a broad audience, Tahoe Production House was asked to provide comprehensive live streaming services for the event. This ensured that community members who could not attend in person were still able to participate virtually. The live stream was accessible through zoom, broadening the reach and ensuring that more residents could engage with the critical issues discussed.
Our team set up and managed high-quality video and audio feeds to ensure that the online audience received a clear and uninterrupted stream. The event was also recorded, allowing for playback availability so that the information shared could continue to benefit those interested in the campaign against Measure N.
The live stream included an interactive Q&A session, where online viewers could submit their questions, making the townhall a two-way conversation and enriching the dialogue between the leaders and the community.
Post-event, the recording of the townhall is available on the campaign’s official website, StopTheSouthTahoeVacancyTax.com, and other affiliated platforms. This ongoing accessibility ensures that the discussions and information remain available to the public, aiding in informed decision-making as the November General Election approaches.
At Tahoe Production House, we are committed to supporting our community through professional media services that enhance public understanding and participation in local issues. The “No on Measure N” townhall is an example of how technology and media can play pivotal roles in civic engagement. We are proud to facilitate such important conversations and look forward to continuing our support for community-driven initiatives.
