That’s why we’re proud to share our recent pro bono project with the Lake Tahoe Educational Foundation (LTEF), a public non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the educational programs and addressing the needs of the Lake Tahoe Unified School District.

The Lake Tahoe Educational Foundation plays a pivotal role in ensuring that students, teachers, and schools have the resources they need to thrive. Their commitment to excellence in education aligns with our mission to uplift the communities we serve. By offering our digital marketing expertise, we aimed to help the foundation engage with their supporters more effectively, ultimately driving greater impact in the classroom and beyond.
Digital Email Marketing Revamp
Our donation to LTEF focused on helping the organization enhance its email marketing strategy using MailChimp. Here’s what we accomplished:
- MailChimp Setup:
We established a brand-new MailChimp account for LTEF, imported their existing mailing list, and ensured all contact data was properly organized. With a solid email marketing platform in place, LTEF now has a reliable tool for communicating news, events, and fundraising efforts to its supporters. - Custom Newsletter Templates:
We created three unique, reusable templates tailored to LTEF’s needs:- General Information: For sharing updates on educational programs, school news, and community involvement.
- Fundraising: To spotlight donation opportunities, special giving campaigns, and event fundraisers that support critical educational initiatives.
- Scholarships or Announcements: Highlighting scholarships, student achievements, and important district announcements.
Each template features LTEF’s branding, colors, logos, social media icons, and links back to their website. This not only strengthens brand recognition but also helps drive traffic to their digital resources.
- Strategy and Guidance:
Beyond the technical setup, our team collaborated with LTEF to craft a content strategy. The organization provided key information, and we helped shape it into compelling campaigns to promote their annual events, giving opportunities, and program highlights. We also demonstrated how to access the MailChimp account and customize the templates, empowering the foundation to manage their email communications independently moving forward. - Board Member Integration & Sign-Up Features:
We incorporated a list of board members into each template to showcase the leadership and dedicated individuals behind LTEF. Additionally, we provided the embed code for a MailChimp sign-up form, making it easier for new subscribers to join their mailing list directly from the LTEF website.

With these email marketing improvements, the Lake Tahoe Educational Foundation is now better positioned to inform, inspire, and mobilize its supporters. By delivering timely, professional, and consistent communications, LTEF can deepen connections with donors, parents, educators, and community members who care about the future of local education.
