On June 2, 2024, Tahoe Production House had the privilege of capturing the excitement and purpose behind America’s Most Beautiful Bike Ride (AMBBR)—an iconic cycling event around majestic Lake Tahoe. This year, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) served as the beneficiary, continuing a 30-year legacy of raising funds and awareness in the fight against blood cancer. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how we brought this powerful story to life
Why This Ride Matters
AMBBR isn’t just about scenic miles around Lake Tahoe; it’s also a deeply meaningful fundraiser for LLS. Over the last 30 years, riders have raised more than $100 million to support individuals and families impacted by blood cancers. This year’s event was no exception—cyclists turned out in force to pedal for a cause, pushing themselves physically while championing LLS’s mission to help blood cancer patients thrive.
Our Role: Telling the Story
Capturing the Big Day
- Pre-Event Coordination (May 31 – June 1):
- We scouted locations, connected with ride organizers, and prepared our gear for the big day on Sunday.
- Ride Day (June 2):
- Drone Coverage: From the Tahoe Blue Event Center start line at 6:00 AM to rest stops along the route, our drones soared above the scenic vistas to capture the breathtaking lake and mountainous landscape.
- On-the-Ground Videos & Photos: We filmed riders in motion—pedaling up Emerald Bay, cruising through Kings Beach for a midday lunch stop, and crossing the finish line at the 4H Camp.
- Participant Coverage: Close Up Shots of riders helped us highlight the “why” behind their fundraising and personal experiences.

More Than Just a Ride
By pairing sweeping drone shots with close ups, Tahoe Production House aimed to highlight the powerful union of beautiful scenery and a big mission. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s leadership in the fight against blood cancer provided emotional depth and motivation for both new riders and seasoned veterans.
