Tahoe Production House was honored to partner with the 2025 Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival (LTSF) to create a comprehensive suite of video assets supporting one of Tahoe’s most beloved cultural institutions. From broadcast-ready commercials to archival recordings, educational work samples, and an immersive experience trailer, this project was about far more than documentation—it was about preserving, promoting, and amplifying the Festival’s impact.
For the 2025 season, featuring Twelfth Night and Peter and the Starcatcher, Tahoe Production House worked closely with the LTSF team to identify key storytelling needs across multiple audiences:
-
Patrons and first-time attendees
-
Donors and board members
-
Sponsors and grant organizations
-
Educators, students, and the Young Shakespeare program
-
Future audiences discovering the Festival online
Each deliverable was designed with a specific purpose in mind—ensuring the Festival has evergreen assets that extend well beyond a single season.
Commercials: Reaching New Audiences
We produced and edited multiple broadcast and digital commercials using Festival-approved scripts and assets, including:
-
:30 Mainstage Commercial (broadcast-ready)
-
:15 Mainstage Promo (YouTube and digital cut)
-
:30 Young Shakespeare Commercial (broadcast-ready)
These spots are critical for visibility—introducing the magic of Shakespeare at Sand Harbor to new audiences while reinforcing the Festival’s identity across platforms.
Donor & Patron Experience Video: Telling the “Why”
To support donor relations and board communications, Tahoe Production House produced a Donor Message & Patron Experience Narrative Video, filmed on location at Sand Harbor.
This piece captures:
-
The emotional connection patrons feel attending performances on the shores of Lake Tahoe
-
The value of donor support in sustaining the Festival’s mission
-
The behind-the-scenes passion that makes LTSF possible
Shot with interview lighting, professional audio, and teleprompter support, this video serves as a powerful storytelling tool for development efforts year-round.
Archival Performance Capture: Preserving the Art
One of the most important components of this project was high-quality archival video capture—a lasting record of each production.
Tahoe Production House captured full performances for:
-
Young Shakespeare (Downtown Reno Library)
-
Twelfth Night (Sand Harbor + Reno performance)
-
Peter and the Starcatcher (Sand Harbor)
Using multi-camera setups, professional audio feeds, and backup systems, these recordings preserve the artistry, performances, and staging for future reference, internal use, and historical archives.
Archival video ensures that these productions live on long after the curtain falls.
Educational Work Samples: Supporting Grants & Programs
To support grant requirements and the Festival’s Education Department, Tahoe Production House created 2.5-minute work sample videos for each production.
These videos showcase:
-
Location and staging
-
Talent and performance quality
-
Educational and community impact
Delivered in platform-ready formats, these assets are essential for funding applications and long-term program support.
Why These Assets Matter
For an organization like LTSF, video is more than marketing—it’s legacy, access, and sustainability.
These assets allow the Festival to:
-
Reach new audiences beyond Tahoe
-
Strengthen donor and sponsor relationships
-
Meet grant and educational requirements
-
Preserve performances for historical record
-
Tell a cohesive, compelling story year after year
Tahoe Production House is proud to help ensure that the artistry, passion, and magic of the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival are captured with the care and quality they deserve.
